An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane.
I made these 1000 colourful cranes in the space of 15 days; it started with needing something to do whilst studying to basically keep me awake. By the end of the week I was half way to a 1000 and felt the need to finish the job. Each one is folded from a square piece of paper 3x3cm, cut from a 2011 illustrated diary by Tokidoki.
