Hi, I'm Hannah, an environmentally-focused web designer and content manager, currently based in the Canadian Rockies. Passionate about climate communication and environmental advocacy, I believes the web is an effective tool for reaching large audiences to shift perspectives, support change and inspire action.
In 2014 I graduated with a bachelor of Graphic Design from the University of Canberra, Australia. At my graduate exhibition, I was awarded the Innovative Web Design award and the Design Institute of Australia's student encouragement award.
Since 2015 I have managed the web assets for Pursuit, sharing my passions for travel and national parks. These web assets have since grown, and today my team is responsible for 8 domains, 1000s of webpages, 47+ distinct brand sites, and two multi-lingual websites, in Icelandic. I enjoy this challenging and fast-paced work, and the opportunity to manage diverse projects while cultivating new talent.
In 2017, I began a passion project; creating the year-long environmental lifestyle challenge and website '52 Weeks for Earth', in the hope that it would inspire others to reduce their impact on the planet and contribute to the movement of positive change. This self-inspired undertaking utilised my diverse skillset, as I developed the concept, researched and wrote 15+ content pieces, ran the social media account, photographed the images, and designed and built the website.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring; the beauty of the Canadian Rockies, the beauty of western North America, and my artistic pursuits.
I hope to one day use my passion and skills at a not-for-profit or company whose values and objectives align with my own.
